Faversham Natters Radio Show
Radio Faversham was launched on 8th April 2017 with great excitement and David Selves interviewing Helen Whately, the town's MP.
For three years David presented Faversham Natters on Radio Faversham, a weekly three hour programme with the first hour updating on local events, the weather, tide times and the recipe of the week. The next 1.5 hours featured a guest of local interest and significance covering a wide spectrum from business, politics, entertainment to sport and media. During the interview three tracks would be chosen by the guest.
For the first 18 months the last half an hour was an allotment slot (thanks Jeremy Vine!) with Maggie Scott who christened herself GAL, Granny Allotment Lady, when her granddaughter Ellia was born. These half hours with our GAL were informative and often very amusing! But she moved on to teach a dance class so now it is a health slot. Specifically we have covered Prostrate Cancer and Mental Health issues and will continue to expand this.
